Just Click It!

It's October and I must say that it's my FAVORITE month!
There are 3 particular reasons. The first one...because my birthday is on October 26th...(hint, hint) :)
The second reason...Daylight savings...we get back an hour (although now that I think about it, I think it changed to November).

However, the best reason is because you see pink EVERYWHERE!! As we approach the middle of the month I am amazed as to how many places, organizations, etc. are wearing pink. Have you seen the NFL players? I think they look great with their hint of pink. All of this to help people become aware of breast cancer.

So to help in the cause, here's a place where we can all go to and do our part....it's very simple. Just click where it says "Click here to give free" and this simple act helps a woman in need to get a free mammogram. It's that simple.

Here are some pics from the race last weekend supporting the cause!

Nature-Deficit Disorder

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, I find myslef constantly wanting to be outdoors more often. I love the outdoors! I can remember the many days and afternoons that I used to spend outdoors playing. So I was somewhat shocked when I heard about nature-deficit disorder. Please take a few minutes to listen to this quick interview with Richard Louv, author of "Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children From Nature-Deficit Disorder" and let me know what you think.
